Living in and around Jacksonville, North Carolina — Close to some of North Carolina’s most beautiful beaches (Emerald Island, Topsail, Carolina Beach, Wrightsville Beach). The area is perfect for outdoor activities like kayaking, deep sea fishing, wind-surfing, etc. The terrain is pan-cake flat, which if you do not like hills, is fantastic. The cycling and mountain bike scenes continue to grow. Jacksonville cost of living is very reasonable and is home to Camp Lejeune, one of the top Marine bases in the country. We are only fifty miles from Wilmington, North Carolina and a couple hour drive from Raleigh.
